June 26th Theme: Change in Perspective
Interestingly, not about perspective points! Instead of changing the image's perspective, we’re changing the artist's perspective! While working on a piece, participants are encouraged to turn their “canvas”, change the way they are sitting, switch hands, or even look at it upside down. This change in perspective shifts the gravity and narrative of the piece, reflecting how we sometimes have to change our own perspective in life.
Participants are invited to bring in an art piece that they are working on from home, or start something new
Art Therapy Open Studio is a welcoming space to explore art-making in a curious, supportive, and community-centered environment. Facilitated by an art therapist in training (Gretchen), each session includes gentle intention-setting, creative prompts, and guidance in using art materials to explore meaningful themes.
