Hello, I’m Faren!

I’m an Art Therapist currently accepting children, teens, and adults for in-person sessions in Ishpeming, MI. I specialize in helping people navigate grief, loss, and life transitions, and I believe there’s no single “right way” to move through these moments. You are the expert on your life, my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and creative tools to support your goals.

In our work together, I draw from art therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and other evidence-based practices. Sometimes this looks like artmaking, writing, or breathwork; other times it’s compassionate conversation or somatic practices to calm the nervous system. No art experience is ever required, just an openness to explore.

What inspires me:

My hope is to remind you of the importance of self-compassion as you move through challenges. Life brings endings, beginnings, changes, loss, and it can throw us off course. Therapy offers a space to practice curiosity instead of criticism, build trust in yourself, and return to what feels supportive and sustainable.

I’ve been working in the field for over 10 years, and I continue to be inspired by the creativity, resilience, and humor that people bring into the therapy room. I’d be honored to support you on your path toward healing and growth.

My therapy style is inquisitive, creative, and humorous.
